Flooring in El PobladoCoverage from El Poblado
Pisos Pro Medellín installs and repairs flooring in Medellín, the towns of the Aburrá Valley and Eastern Antioquia (Oriente antioqueño), from our base in El Poblado. We work on apartments, houses, country homes (fincas) and businesses.
Every area has its own building style and its own floor problems: hillside towers with strict rules, 1960s houses with terrazzo, unfinished apartments (obra gris) or cold, damp country houses. Here you will see what we do in each one and how long it takes us to get there.
Our knowledge of these neighborhoods comes from more than 15 years and more than 900 jobs in the region. The site visit is free throughout the valley and the nearby Oriente.
Our office is at Tv. 6 #45-115, El Poblado, comuna 14. From there we organize our crews by corridor: south, west, north and the Oriente.
Grouping visits by corridor lets us arrive at the agreed time and schedule them within 24 to 72 hours. For jobs outside these areas, check with us first.
Within Medellín, housing changes a lot from one comuna (district) to the next, and so does the floor that suits it best.

Flooring in El PobladoHouses from the 1950s to the 1970s with poured terrazzo (granito) and original wood floors, plus low-rise buildings without elevators. Here we restore as much as we install.
Flooring in Laureles and EstadioTraditional houses next to new buildings in Belén Rosales, Fátima and La Mota. SPC over existing tile is in high demand, at COP $85,000 to $170,000 per m² installed, along with porcelain tile in kitchens and bathrooms.
SPC flooringTwo and three-story houses with terrazzo or wood staircases and shops on the ground floor. Renovations usually go one level at a time, starting with the staircase.
Stairs and railingsWe create a dedicated page only where we already have enough projects and local knowledge. For the rest, here is a summary of each town.
New apartments handed over as obra gris (bare concrete, no finishes) and hillside houses that are several decades old. In obra gris units we measure the moisture in the concrete before installing any floor.
Flooring in EnvigadoRecent high-rise growth in Aves María and Las Lomitas. Many apartments are handed over with basic ceramic tile that owners swap for SPC or porcelain tile, the latter at COP $80,000 to $260,000 per m² installed.
Porcelain and ceramic tileAn industrial and commercial area with warehouses that need epoxy or concrete, plus residential complexes in Suramérica and Ditaires. In warehouses we check forklift loads before writing the specification.
Epoxy flooringHillside residential complexes in the south of the valley, with a cooler, rainier climate. On ground floors and in houses built directly on soil, a moisture test is mandatory on every visit.
Moisture barrierGated complexes in Niquía and warehouses along the Autopista Norte. We handle both family apartments and logistics floors.
Flooring in BelloCountry houses (casas finca) with decks, terraces and wood exposed to termites (comején). Because of the distance, these visits are scheduled further in advance.
Termites and pests in floorsThis high plateau sits above 2,000 meters, with cold nights and high humidity for much of the year. Wood needs longer to acclimate and, in houses built on soil, a moisture barrier stops being optional.
We work on country houses in Llanogrande, residential complexes in Rionegro and farms in La Ceja, El Retiro and Marinilla. Several clients add radiant floor heating under porcelain tile or engineered hardwood.
You will find the details for this area on flooring in Rionegro and Eastern Antioquia.
We plan every workday around these times. A crew working in Bello or Rionegro leaves earlier so it can start at the hour the complex allows.
