Pisos Pro Medellín installs and repairs flooring for businesses in Medellín and the Aburrá Valley: offices, shops, medical practices, hotels, warehouses and the common areas of residential buildings. We are flooring specialists, not a general construction company.
Commercial flooring is chosen by foot traffic, cleaning needs, industry standards and how long the business can afford to stop. That is why we deliver a technical proposal with the material, its specification and a zone-by-zone schedule.
We have more than 15 years of experience and more than 900 residential and commercial jobs. Workmanship carries a 1-year warranty, and our crews work with social security and ARL (Colombia's mandatory occupational risk coverage) fully up to date.
We take on projects of every size, from a single medical office to a warehouse or a full office floor. The method stays the same: on-site survey, technical proposal, phased schedule, installation and documented handover.
What sets it apart from a home is the specification. A shop that hundreds of people walk through every day needs more than a bedroom floor, and that should be in writing.
Every sector has a different enemy: noise, street grit, disinfectants, forklift wheels or dropped weights. These are our starting recommendations.
Carpet tiles, glue-down LVT and class 33 SPC. Carpet absorbs noise in open-plan areas, and its tiles can be swapped one by one if they get stained.
Carpet tilesHigh-traffic porcelain tile, microcement and polished concrete. They must stand up to grit, carts and daily machine cleaning.
Porcelain tile for shopsHomogeneous sheet vinyl with heat-welded seams and a coved sanitary base, or seamless epoxy. No joints where dirt can build up.
Sanitary epoxy flooringSPC in guest rooms, engineered hardwood in suites and carpet in hallways. We work in blocks of rooms so the hotel never has to close entirely.
SPC flooringSelf-leveling epoxy, cementitious urethane and concrete with hardener. Each is specified according to forklift loads, oils and cleaning chemicals.
Industrial concrete floorsRubber rolls or tiles and cushioned sports floors. In residential buildings we protect the slab and reduce impact noise for the apartments below.
Gym flooringReference installed prices in Medellín, 2026, in Colombian pesos: carpet COP $55,000 to $180,000 per m², SPC $85,000 to $170,000, porcelain tile $80,000 to $260,000, self-leveling epoxy $90,000 to $180,000 and rubber $90,000 to $220,000. The final price is set after the site survey.
Few installers share technical data sheets; we attach them to the proposal. These are the specifications we review with your purchasing team or your architect.
| Specification | What it means | Recommended value by use |
|---|---|---|
| Use class (EN 13329 for laminate, EN ISO 10874 for vinyl) | The traffic level the product was tested for | 32 for moderate-traffic offices; 33 for shops and heavy commercial use |
| AC abrasion class (laminate) | Wear resistance of the top layer | AC4 for offices; AC5 for shops |
| Wear layer (vinyl and SPC) | Thickness of the film that protects the design | 0.3 mm for light office use; 0.5 mm or more for retail |
| Slip resistance R rating (DIN 51130) | Shoe grip on an inclined test ramp | R10 at entrances and kitchens; R11 on ramps and in public restrooms |
| Emissions (FloorScore) | Certification for volatile organic compounds | Enclosed offices, clinics and preschools |
| Chemical resistance | Tolerance to disinfectants, oils and acids | Epoxy or urethane in clinics, laboratories and warehouses |
We divide the area into zones and work on one while the rest keep operating. We move workstations in blocks, seal off areas with plastic and vacuum cutting dust at the source.
In occupied spaces we prefer low-odor or water-based systems. Epoxy and noisy work are scheduled for the lowest-occupancy hours we agree on with you and with building management.
In shopping malls, management sets the work hours and usually restricts noise and material deliveries; we build that into the schedule from the proposal stage.
Condominium managers (administración) and purchasing departments ask for documentation before letting a contractor in. We deliver it before work begins:
These are our most frequent commercial jobs and their usual scope. The photos on this page are representative of this type of work.
100 to 400 m² of carpet tiles or LVT, zone by zone, while the team keeps working.
40 to 150 m² of porcelain tile or polished concrete, with the timeline tied to the opening date.
Sheet vinyl or epoxy with a coved sanitary base, designed for cleaning with disinfectants.
Rubber tiles 15 to 30 mm thick in the weights area, coordinated with building management to keep the gym closed for as little time as possible.
High-traffic porcelain tile and polished concrete are the most durable, lasting 20 years or more. Epoxy wins on cleaning and chemical resistance, but street grit will scratch it if the entrance has no mat.
Class 33 SPC is the fast, more affordable route: it goes over the existing floor in a few days, although it does not last as long.
Yes. Before starting, we agree with your team on the zones, the work hours and the material route, and we hand over each zone finished before moving to the next.
Yes, before work begins, along with any other documents building management or your purchasing department requests.
Tell us the type of business, the approximate square meters and the date you need the floor ready. With that, we schedule the site survey and prepare the proposal.
On our projects page we describe the typical commercial work we do in offices, shops and clinics.
