Flooring projects in Medellín and the Aburrá Valley
Pisos Pro Medellín has spent more than 15 years installing and repairing floors, with over 900 jobs in apartments, houses, offices and stores across the Aburrá Valley and Eastern Antioquia. This page groups that work by area and by type, with the scope each job usually involves.
We do not publish client names or addresses. Instead, we show what we do in each neighborhood, how long it usually takes and which technical challenge tends to come up, with photos that are representative of the finished results we deliver.
Each part of the metro area has a dominant type of housing and, with it, a recurring floor problem. Here is what our work looks like in the four areas where we install the most.
Projects in El Poblado
Hillside towers in sectors such as Los Balsos, Castropol and Patio Bonito, with apartments of 80 to 200 m² and many short-term rentals that cannot be off the market for more than a few days.
The most common job is replacing old ceramic tile with SPC flooring or engineered hardwood without demolition, with a booked elevator and strict work hours.
Mid-20th-century houses and low-rise buildings with poured terrazzo (granito), parquet and wood that are often worth restoring rather than replacing.
We grind and crystallize terrazzo, sand and lacquer parquet and replace missing pieces, checking baseboards and door frames for termites along the way.
Apartments of 60 to 90 m² handed over as obra gris (bare concrete, no finishes), mainly in new developments in Zúñiga, El Esmeraldal and Loma del Escobero.
The typical job includes measuring slab moisture, leveling with self-leveling compound and installing porcelain tile or SPC in 4 to 8 days.
Country houses and gated communities on the high plateau east of Medellín, with cooler nights and high ambient humidity for much of the year.
We install engineered hardwood over a moisture barrier, electric radiant floor heating in bedrooms and bathrooms, and outdoor porcelain on covered walkways.
In offices, stores and medical practices, the floor competes with day-to-day operations. Most jobs range from 80 to 400 m² and are planned so the client does not have to close.
If your company needs new floors without interrupting service, see how we handle commercial flooring.
Night, weekend or phased work, according to the rules of the building or shopping mall.
Modular carpet or glue-down vinyl in offices, for acoustics and piece-by-piece replacement.
Epoxy or high-traffic porcelain in stores, and seamless vinyl with coved edges in clinical areas.
Rubber in gyms and weight rooms.
Finished repairs and restorations
These photos show the kind of finish we leave after a repair: sanded and lacquered wood, replaced planks, leveled subfloors and restored terrazzo.

What we record on every project
Every job is documented from the first visit: square meters measured, the subfloor moisture reading, photos of the starting condition and an itemized quote.
When we finish, we sign the handover record with the date, the material installed and care instructions, which is also the proof behind the 1-year warranty.
If you want to see work similar to yours, during the visit we show you photos of jobs with the same material in the same area, with their owners' permission.
